The secrets of top affiliate programs.

If you haven’t got your own set of top affiliate programs yet then this is going to blow your mind. Even if you have I can guarantee that this will be a real eye opener. The majority of affiliate program owners have it set up in a way that is completely wrong.

Would you sign up for affiliate programs that expected you to do all the work with only grudgingly paid commission and no backup? No, so why do so many affiliate programs do it. The top affiliate programs are far more with it.

Let me explain.
Provide your affiliate with email promotions, articles, press releases, pay per click ads, banner adverts and whatever else you can create that will enable people to promote your site to the masses with as little work as possible.

You could even write articles for them together with a selection of alternative keywords for them to submit to article directories all over the internet and do very well for the affiliates and boost dramatically the visits to your web site. If you just had one hundred affiliates blasting one article all over the net you’ve just multiplied your marketing power by one hundred. This is the key to making massive amounts on-line.

Have An Affiliate Only Newsletter that is just for your affiliates. Each week send out a mini blueprint on how they can market your products an earn a commission. Inform them of new products you’ve just launched or new marketing materials you’ve just added to your affiliates area. Combine this with a weekly competition.

Then each week your affiliate who earns the most gets an extra one hundred dollars or whatever you can afford. Mention the winner in each weeks newsletter and say things like “who thinks they can overtake Jane as being my top affiliate? Come on guys I know I’ve got some great marketers signed up as my affiliates prove it and I’ll mention you in next weeks newsletter”.

Enthusiasm from you is infectious and will rub off onto your affiliates this is the route to top affiliate programs.

So you have enthusiastic affiliate sending hoards of visitors to your web site. Usually,
you want those visitors to actually do something there. It is equally important to monitor the number of visitors to your site who made a purchase. This figure is called the site conversion rate, and it is an essential element of the effectiveness of your website.

To find the site conversion rate, take the number of visitors per month and figure out the percentage of them that actually performed the action your site is set up for.

For example, if you had 2,000 hits to your site, but only 25 of them purchased your product, your site conversion rate equals 1.25%. To get this figure, take your number of visitors who made a purchase and divide that figure by the number of visitors then multiply by 100. Eg (25/2000)x100
Then test by changing the way you get visitors to purchase.

Examine how easy it is for a visitor to your website to accomplish the action the site is set-up
for. For example, if your goal is for the visitor to fill out a form, is this form easily accessible, or does the visitor have to go through four levels to get to it? If it's too difficult to get to, the customer may just throw in the towel and move on to another site. Make sure your buttons are highly visible, and the path to your form or ordering page quickly accessible.

I have been on sites where I really wanted to buy but was frustrated as I could not find how to order. If you want to be amongst the top affiliate programs you do need to look at the web ordering as well as commissions.
